I am filling in for the normal front desk person for the next few months and I have some questions: TMJ- Am I supposed to submit medical and dental insurance at the same time?

Lara,

Generally speaking, TMJ services would be filed with medical insurance. Some dental policies do have a one time TMJ orthotic benefit. You would have to call the dental insurance to see if this is the case. Either way, you will have to file with one insurance company, wait till you get the EOB and then file with the second. Make sure that you send it with the EOB from the first.
