Hi Dr. Patel

I had an inquiry about what we could do for patients with PTSD to help them with their sleep terrors. My first thought is that sleep apnea would have to play a role in those sleep terrors because their body is already stressed by not getting adequate oxygen and they are being kicked out of deep sleep through arousal. Any other thoughts on this subject?

Yes if sleep is a factor a diagnostic study is required. There is some correlation with PTSD and poor sleep being multifactorial.
