How can we generate a secondary insurance CMS 1500 claim form after primary processes?

Hi slocke!

Great question! Once you receive the primary EOB in from the primary insurer:

- open the original claim in DentalWriter
- Use your "payments" button to apply the payment from the primary insurer and/or patient (if any)
- Once you have updated the claim to reflect any payments, and ensure the secondary insurance information is completed in box 9 of the CMS 1500, you can go ahead and submit the secondary claim - be sure to include a copy of the primary EOB when you submit it!

Hope this helps! Please feel free to contact us with any further questions!
