Until now, I've worked primarily with e-commerce and retail brands, but recently I was approached by a personal injury attorney looking to expand his online client base. This is my first foray into the legal field, and while I have extensive experience in SEO, PPC, and social media, I want to make sure I approach this the right way.
I've researched online marketing best practices for lawyers, and it seems what works in retail isn't always directly applicable to the legal field.
For those of you who have worked with lawyers:
What channels actually support firms like private investigators or family law firms?
Is Google Ads too overloaded to break even without a huge budget?
Have you found success with local SEO, LSA, or even TikTok?
I'm also curious about affiliate marketing: has anyone used affiliate marketing to grow their legal industry?
I'd love to learn from those who have already mastered this vertical.

Social media and content marketing are better for building authority and trust than for generating direct leads. For some family or personal injury lawyers, TikTok or Instagram can be useful for establishing a personal and approachable presence, but it's important not to publicly offer specific legal advice.
