Patient was involved in an ATV accident requiring ceramic crowns on tooth #8 and #9
want to try to file it as a medical necessity.
Cant find a medical code for D2740 Crown-porcelain/ceramic
Can you help?

D2740 - crown - porcelain/ceramic substrate

There are not a direct crosscode we are aware of for this procedures, so you can either use the "D" code on the medical claim (many insurers these days will process "D" codes when they are medically necessary services), or you can use the CPT code below and include a narrative report describing the procedure:
41899 - Unlisted procedure, dentoalveolar structures
