Hello, My daughter dentist is charging us twice for code D9420. There saying that our dental insurance doesn't cover it. Are they suppose to charge me twice for the same code? I though this code is for outpatient e/m.

Hi Guest!

D9420 stands for: hospital or ambulatory surgical center call

I can't say for sure whether or not your dentist should have billed twice for it, as it all depends on the services that were rendered. If you think it may have been billed in error, I would contact the practice for further explanation.

Hope this helps!
