I am trying to bill out for TMJ appliance adjustments and follow up appointments. How would I bill this medically?

Hi Guest! Great question! Most offices will bill out follow up adjustment appointment using the E&M coding set for established patients (CPT codes 99211 through 99215). For more information on these codes and the required documentation - here is a link to our Tip of the Week that goes into more detail!: https://www.dentalwriter.com/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=308Some offices will instead choose to use code 97762 to code these follow up visits, which stands for: Checkout for orthotic/prosthetic use, established patient, each 15 minutes (so you would bill 1 unit of this code for each 15 minute spent with the patient) If you do any imaging (i.e. pano) - there are CPT codes to use for those services as well.
