Hello,
I work in insurance. The claim for wisdom teeth which is covered under the medical policy is required to have a Diagnosis code. I have called the dental office and they could not provide one.

Do you have a proper Dx code that I can use so the patient is reimbursed for the charges?

Thank you,
Angela S

Good morning Angela!

The diagnosis code(s) to use will depend on the reason for the extractions - here are some common coding options below:

K01.1 - Impacted teeth
K01.0 - Embedded teeth
M26.31 - Crowding of fully erupted teeth

Hope this helps!
